Trump Orders Government to Release UFO and Alien Records
US President Donald Trump said he has ordered key government agencies to begin releasing long-classified files related to UFOs (Unidentified Flying Object) and extraterrestrial phenomena.
Donald Trump said he has instructed the Pentagon and other federal departments to start publishing government records linked to unidentified flying objects and extraterrestrial life.
Trump made the announcement during a visit to Georgia, where he also criticised comments by former president Barack Obama, saying such information should not be drawn from classified sources.
Obama has previously said he had seen no evidence confirming visits by extraterrestrial beings to Earth, but argued the vastness of the universe makes other life plausible.
In a lighter moment, Obama once joked that one of his first questions as president was about the whereabouts of aliens, underscoring public fascination with the issue.
Interest in UFOs and unexplained aerial phenomena has surged in the United States in recent years, with Congress demanding greater transparency from defence and intelligence agencies.
In 2019, a survey by British polling firm YouGov found that more than half of American adults believed the government may know more about UFOs than it publicly admits.
Trump’s order signals a renewed push for disclosure, potentially bringing long-secret material into public view and intensifying debate over extraterrestrial life.
