‘Abusive’ dad ‘made daughter, 4, drink out of powdered juice and bleach’

A father pinned his four-year-old daughter to the ground and made her drink bleach mixed with soft drink flavor powder, police say.

Michael Dublin, 28, was arrested for attempted murder and aggravated child abuse after the indictment in May in Orlando, Florida.

Dublin is still being held in jail for holding his daughter down as he poured the poisonous mixture in her mouth then holding a pillow over her face, suffocating her until she swallowed.

Newly released evidence and body camera footage shows Dublin casually confronting police as family members scream in the background, according to WESH.

The officer in the video asks Dublin what happened to the girl, who was not breathing, and Dublin just replies: ‘She good.’

A young family member told officers: ‘(Dublin) put bleach and a flavor packet in there (the water bottle), he shake it up, and let her drink it.’

The relative continued ‘(He) put it in her mouth, she’s holding it, he put a pillow over her head, and then started suffocated her, and then she swallowed it.’

‘I heard her screaming ‘Help Me! Help Me!” We were in the backroom, and he said “Get out of here! It’s none of your business.’

The officer noted that Dublin ‘did not appear to have any remorse,’ and that he seemed more concerned about being arrested than his daughter’s life.

Another family member told police that they were able to pull Dublin off of the girl before giving her CPR.

Relatives said Dublin is bipolar and schizophrenic. He has previously been committed to a psychiatric hospital, according to court records, but was off his medication for schizophrenia, his mother said.

The victims mother had reportedly enraged Dublin earlier in the day when she told Dublin that she did not want to get back together with him.

Police say Dublin did not have custody of his daughter at the time of the alleged attack.

He has previously been convicted of battery, theft, and drug-related charges.
