Trio of women attack airline workers after their flight was delayed

Three women became irate and started a wild brawl with airline workers after their flight was delayed.

The violence erupted at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Tuesday after the three women ‘became combative following a delayed flight’ home to Philadelphia, according to Spirit Airlines

Police said the three women hit airplane employees ‘with miscellaneous items, such as phones, shoes, full water bottles, metal boarding signs and fast food’ during the fight that was captured on camera.

The incident reportedly happened outside of the gate of a flight to Philadelphia – famed for being ‘the city of brotherly love.’ In the footage of the attack, the women can be seen hurling items at the Spirit employees before eventually going to the counter to physically attack at least one of the employees.

‘The victims were also punched and kicked in different sections of their bodies numerous times,’ according to the arresting documents.

According to the airline, three employees suffered minor injures during the brawl.

Police later identified the three women who started the fight as Tymaya Wright, 20, Danaysha Dixon, 22, and Keira Ferguson, 21. All three were charged with touch or strike battery, although Wright was additionally charged with petit theft for taking one of Spirit employee’s phones.

The three women were booked into the Broward CountyJail and were later released on bond Wednesday morning. They later told Local 10 News that they were trying to get back home to Philadelphia, although they did not elaborate further on the violent scenes caught on camera.

In response to the incident, Spirit Airlines released this statement: ‘We thank our Team Members for their professionalism and quick actions, and we also thank the Broward Sheriff’s Office for their assistance at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport yesterday.’

‘Three guests became combative following a delayed flight, and they were arrested for physically assaulting our team members. The violent behavior is completely unacceptable and has absolutely no place in airports or any other place of business.’

‘We will not tolerate abusive behavior of any kind. Further questions about this incident should be referred to law enforcement.’
