See how Tompolo defeated Fashola in a poll for 2019 presidency

There was a mild drama in Abuja recently following the result of a poll conducted to ascertain the people whom Nigerians will support for the 2019 presidency.

The poll was conducted by Centre for Advanced Social Studies in concert with elements of ECOWAS Early warning department in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.

According to Gbaramatu Voice, the poll, which was conducted in Wuse Zone 4, had 514 people sampled for the 2019 presidency.

The paper reports that the poll was conducted to ascertain the electoral opinions of the predominantly dominated Muslim North of Nigeria and forecast towards the 2019 presidency.

The people sampled were drawn from the six geographical zones of the country. The poll showed some nagging questions over the government of President Muhammadu Buhari.

President Muhammadu Buhari, Atiku Abubakar, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, El-Rufai, Aminu Tambuwal, Kwankwaso, Babatunde Fashola and Government Ekpemukpolo aka Tompolo were sampled for the 2019 presidency.

In the result, according to the paper, PMB scored 82 votes, Atiku scored 60 votes, GEJ scored 46 votes, El Rufai scored 64 votes, Tambuwal scored 97 votes, Kwakwanso scored 120 votes, Fashola scored 11 votes while Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo scored 34 votes.

Upon the collation of results, the group through its head, Professor Nsofor Iwuchukwu returned to the front lounge of the Ladi Kwali Hall of Sheraton Hotels and Towers to facts check the analysis of results and the throw up from the exercise.

The return presented a frightening scenario given that apart from 18 people who may have come from the middle belt, South West and South Eastern zones of Nigeria, over 80 percent of the other people sampled came from either the North East, North Central and North West of Nigeria.

Another member of the team, Dr Uthman Dipcherima, described the outcome of the exercise as a realistic microcosm of the macro political domain of Nigeria.

According to him, the era where one political party dominates over the others using term advantage will soon die out in Nigeria.

He said what may matter subsequently is a system he referred to as the dictatorship of prospective voters who would openly poll for Clinton because of fear of favour or intimidation but will go to the polling booth to vote Donald Trump. This to a large extent will determine who gets what come 2019.
