In Uzbekistan declared three days of national mourning because of death of the President
The first President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov died оn 79 year of life. This became known from the message of the Oliy Majlis and the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic.
Islam Karimov died on 2 September 2016 in Tashkent due to a history of acute disorders of cerebral circulation (stroke), that led to irreversible changes in the brain and multiple organ failure.
According to the medical report, the heart of Islam Karimov stopped at 20:15 local time. Undertaken intensive resuscitation gave no results. At 20:55 was fixed biological death.
The funeral of President will take place on 3 September in accordance with Muslim customs in Samarkand, where his parents are buried.

Islam Abduganievich Karimov was born on 30th of January in 1938 in Samarkand. On August 31, 1991 Islam Karimov declared the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In the national elections on an alternative basis on December 29 the same year Islam Karimov was elected as a President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. After he was re-elected as a head of Uzbekistan several times.
