Hamas vehemently condemns terror act in Christchurch, New Zealand
PRESS RELEASE
HAMAS
On the terror attack on two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, Hamas movement states the following
Hamas movement vehemently condemns the terror attack on two central mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand.
This extraordinary act of violence highlights once again that terrorism has no religion nor origin. Rather, terror is a faith fueled by hate speech that is promoted by some parties, such as the current US administration .
On the other hand, the Palestinians are the most people to endure the horrific outcomes of terrorism, owing to the Israeli occupation’s terror acts perpetrated against them on a daily basis. Just days ago, the Palestinians lamented the anniversary of Haram al-Ibrahimi Massacre committed in 1994 by an Israeli extremist who killed 15 Palestinian prayers and injured dozens.
Hamas expresses its sincerest condolences to the families of the victims and wishes the injured a speedy recovery.
In addition, the movement urges the authorities in New Zealand to inflict heavy punishment on the terrorist perpetrators of this crime and on any party providing support for them. New Zealand authorities should also take the necessary procedures to protect worship places.
Hamas calls on the international community to denounce this extraordinary and unprecedented act of terror. Furthermore, it has to tackle hate speech promoted by some parties, above all the Israeli occupation.
