UChicago, Northwestern earn top marks in 2021 best global universities rankings
The Hyde Park- and Evanston-based schools both ranked in the top 25 nationwide.
The University of Chicago and Northwestern University made the grade this year, according to U.S. News and World Report.
The digital news and information company released its 2021 rankings of the best global universities late Monday, and while no Chicago- or Illinois-based schools cracked the top 10, UChicago came in at 15, followed closely by Northwestern at 24.
Not far below, the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana placed at 60, and the school’s Chicago campus came in at 212.
Using data from Clarivate, U.S News and World Report analyzed each university’s “global and regional reputation and academic research performance” to compile its rankings, according to a company press release.
