The Walking Dead Trailer Teases Season 10's Six Extra Episodes
AMC releases a teaser for the six new season 10 episodes of The Walking Dead, the first of which, "Home Sweet Home," premieres February 28.
AMC has released a teaser for The Walking Dead season 10's six bonus episodes. Although the Whisperer War storyline has come to a close, the show will focus on some specific characters before diving into the Commonwealth arc in season 11. One of these bonus episodes will show Negan's past, and even features Jeffrey Dean Morgan's real life spouse as Lucille, the character's wife.
Later in 2021 will mark 11 years since The Walking Dead premiered on television. The show has adapted almost all the major storylines in the comics, from the prison arc, to All Out War. All the while, it has featured strong performances and characters being ingrained in popular culture. Perhaps as a surprise to some, the show will come to an end in season 11. The Walking Dead will live on in spinoff shows and films, but the main program will conclude. For comic readers, this isn't surprising, as Commonwealth was the last arc before the final issue's timeskip. Before Commonwealth, fans will get to enjoy six bonus episodes exploring certain team ups and character backstories. The first of these bonus episodes airs February 28.
A teaser for The Walking Dead season 10's six bonus episodes has been released, preparing viewers for the upcoming storylines. Sadly, there's no footage, but the major characters have dialogue teasing what to expect. Check out the teaser below.
It's easy to see the storylines being teased here. For example, the teaser shows Gabriel and Aaron together. The two will be the center focus in "One More." Meanwhile, it sounds like Princess' backstory will be covered in "Splinter." Fans of Daryl and Carol should enjoy "Diverged" based on the description. The second episode of the six, "Find Me" will dive into the time Daryl "left the group after Rick disappeared." Daryl saying, "I'm not gonna stop 'till I find out," probably references his search for Rick. No footage from these episodes has been shown, but AMC has released in-production videos, including one for "Diverged."
These six bonus episodes should do a good job further developing The Walking Dead characters that appear in them. Daryl and Carol had a rocky relationship toward the latter half of season 10, so it will be interesting seeing where "Diverged" leaves them. "Here's Negan" should be incredibly interesting, as it looks to detail the backstory of one of the show's most popular characters. Of course, probably one of the most highly anticipated scenes coming up is Maggie's reaction to Negan being out in "Home Sweet Home." There are quite a few things to look forward to before the Commonwealth storyline takes the focus in The Walking Dead season 11 later this year.
