Trade Deadline 2021
What does Avila do...?
Trade Schoop, Boyd, anyone else?
Stand pat?
Trade for a reinforcement?
I think he stands pat, based on circumstances... Meaning: Hinch and Avila want to finish the year strong. That means holding onto Schoop (my odds are 10% he gets traded... AA'd have to be blown away...); and we're holding onto Boyd simply because of the innings issue. Boyd can always be traded in the offseason or next year's trade deadline. I don't know who else they would be willing to trade, that has any kind of value. Maybe a minor deal?
I don't know if AA would be ready to trade prospects for a player, or make a significant offer on a trade. But if he did... I'll propose a shocker: Spencer Turnbull (and I love the guy... don't want to trade him...) for Trevor Story.
Anyone have any different ideas...?
