CHELSEA Houska’s fans begged the star to “chill with the bronzer” in a new pic following her blackfishing accusations.
The Teen Mom alum has faced scrutiny over her darker complexion in recent months.
Critics again bashed the reality star after noticing her unnaturally darker skin tone on her Instagram Stories.
Chelsea took to the platform to take a poll of her followers’ preferred lash style for “research” when the backlash reignited.
The licensed esthetician asked whether users favored natural or big lashes in the quick clip taken in her car.
The TV star donned a pair of long fake eyelashes and heavy makeup with her black hair flowing down in waves.
Reddit users, however, were more focused on Chelsea’s own beauty regimen, making their feelings known in the comments.
One person mocked the TV star for her eye makeup, writing: “Like she’s actually going to change her beauty habits from her IG poll… I literally can’t imagine her not wearing falsies.”

While a second called out her darker skin color, saying: “Her tan is bordering on blackface.”
Another questioned her appearance, claiming they preferred her more natural look, adding: “Whatever she did to her face has aged her TERRIBLY. I have always thought she was SUCH a pretty girl

A fourth person thought the TV personality looked unrecognizable in the photo, writing: “If her name wasn’t on the picture and then the post, I seriously wouldn’t have recognized her. She looks very different”
And a fifth fan circled back to her skin tone, replying: “Wake me up when she’s no longer orange. The Oompa Loompa look is old.”
BLACKFISHING CLAIMS
Chelsea has repeatedly gotten flack for her seemingly altered appearance with many calling her out for blackfishing.
The term “blackfishing” refers to someone pretending to be Black or mixed-race by using things like hairstyling and makeup.
Fans accused her of doing just that after she shared photos of her new outfits over the weekend.
The 30-year-old’s normally pale pigmentation appeared much darker in the snapshots as she showed off her wardrobe in the mirror.
The photos surfaced onto Reddit where users continued the ongoing conversation about her skin tone.
One critic wrote: “Oh god the splotchy self-tanner on her hand gave me middle school flashbacks of trying it for the first time.
“Definitely went to school with blotchy orange hands.”
Another added: “This is blackfishing and honestly most white influencers like Chelsea seem to be addicted to tanning to the point where I’m worried it’s body dysmorphia
“Like, what is the reason??? I’m black and her ankles darker than me.”
A third posted: “This is ridiculous. I genuinely thought she was wearing dark nylons under her sweats until you pointed her hand out.”
ALTERED APPEARANCE
The blackfishing claims first began back in December when fans questioned her tan in a photo with her daughters.
Chelsea shares son Watson, five, and daughters Layne, three, and Walker, one, with her husband Cole Deboer.
She is also mom to 12-year-old daughter Aubree with her ex Adam Lind.
The former MTV star was bashed for her differing skin tone, as one wrote: “If I didn’t know any better I’d think she adopted those kids lol. I don’t get why she wants to appear an entirely different race!”
The accusations also came after the mom of four was slammed by social media users who claimed she overdid it on “lip fillers and botox.”
They also thought she wore an excessive amount of makeup and pleaded with her to stop “messing with her face.”
