Sony's next State of Play preview event promises details on 10 new PlayStation games — here's how to watch

PlayStation will livestream a State of Play presentation on September 13 featuring information about 10 games coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PS VR2. The event will start at 6 p.m. ET and last for about 20 minutes, according to the official announcement.
PlayStation has plenty of anticipated releases, from God of War: Ragnarok launching this November, to Street Fighter 6 and Final Fantasy XVI coming in 2023. Sony still hasn't confirmed an exact release date or price for the PS VR2 headset, but upcoming VR games include Horizon Call of the Mountain and ports of Resident Evil Village and No Man's Sky.
Sony could also confirm release dates for upcoming products like the DualSense Edge, an upgraded PlayStation 5 controller with extra rear triggers, customizable analog sticks, and adjustable trigger length. Gray camouflage designs for the DualSense controller, Pulse 3D headset, and PS5 console covers were also announced recently without release dates.

What games will be featured in the PlayStation Direct?
State of Play doesn't mention a list of included games in advance, but there are a few already announced PlayStation titles that we could see more of during the presentation. Sony has specified that the focus will be on 10 games in total.
God of War Ragnarok is the biggest PlayStation exclusive of the holiday season, so a new trailer during State of Play wouldn't be a surprise. Square Enix's open-world adventure Forspoken is a PS5 console exclusive launching in January and a PlayStation Blog post detailed the game's combat earlier this week.
The last State of Play presentation included a world premiere trailer for Capcom's Resident Evil 4 remake, and Capcom has also shared trailers for Exoprimal and Pragmata during State of Play in the past year.
Square Enix has used recent State of Play shows to share footage of Final Fantasy XVI, a PlayStation 5 exclusive. Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion, a remake of a PlayStation Portable exclusive, is also due out on PlayStation consoles this winter, while Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will come to PS5 in Winter 2023.
Details on Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine have been scarce since PlayStation showed off both titles at a September 2021 State of Play presentation, though Spider-Man 2 is expected to launch in 2023.
