Top Gun star Tom Cruise says King Charles can be his ‘wingman any time’ from cockpit of jet in incredible tribute
TOP Gun star Tom Cruise crowned King Charles his “wingman” at the stunning Windsor Castle Coronation party.
The Hollywood superstar stunned the 20,000 ticket holders and Royal Family when he delivered a sky-high recorded sketch for the new King.

But Cruise, 60, who played Maverick in the Top Gun franchise brought the house down hailing the King – and who himself secured his pilots licence in 1969.
Appearing via a pre-recorded video from his Top Gun jet in the clouds, Cruise said: “Pilot to pilot. Your Majesty, you can be my wingman any time”
The actor gave a salute before banking off.
Charles trained as RAF pilot before joining the Royal Navy to fly helicopters and ended his military career in 1976.
The Muppets Kermit The Frog and Miss Piggy also made a surprise appearance at the party where revellers danced by the castle bathed in sunlight.
In a hilarious sketch Miss Piggy took a shine to party host Hugh Bonneville after mistakenly thinking he was a Lord and could make her a Lady.
The puppets also posed for photos by the state with Windsor Castle as the iconic backdrop.
Kermit the Frog said, “It was such an incredible honor for Miss Piggy and me to be invited to participate in the Coronation Concert for King Charles III.
“The United Kingdom was our home while filming The Muppet Show and we’ve loved it ever since.
“As a frog, it’s always a thrill to hop across the world’s biggest pond — especially for a once in a lifetime event like this!
“I would like to thank His Majesty and the entire Royal Family for having us. Congratulations, Your Majesty!”
Revellers were thrilled by music superstars including Katy Perry, who sang Roar and Firework.
While music legend Lionel Richie had the ticket holders swaying and dancing as he performed of Easy and All Night Long.
Chinese mega-star, Lang Lang has also taken to the stage to show his magical skills on the piano.
He played ‘Reflection’ from Disney film Mulan and he invited Nicole Scherzinger on to the stage to perform a duet.
Paloma Faith performed Lullaby at the Windsor concert wearing a puffy pink dress, a black headband and long shiny gloves.
