Manchester United are set to host Fulham at Old Trafford in Sunday’s final-day showdown.

The Red Devils have already secured a return to the Champions League with a 4-1 humbling of Chelsea earlier this week.

A victory over Fulham will ensure they finish third in the Premier League. 

Erik ten Hag has repeatedly mentioned the next game is the most important, but he will undoubtedly have one eye on the FA Cup final clash with Manchester City on June 3.

Some key starters will likely be rested ahead of the final. Here are three changes Ten Hag should make against Fulham.

Alejandro Garnacho

The 18-year-old has had a stunning breakthrough season under Ten Hag, and he deserves to start the final league game of the season.

Garnacho has earned the manager’s trust by making several dazzling cameos off the bench. His direct style of play has been a lethal attacking weapon for United.

The Old Trafford crowd will love seeing their star boy entertain them and put in another magical performance on the left-wing spot.

Allowing the Argentine to start will also help Ten Hag to keep Marcus Rashford safe for the cup final next weekend.

Facundo Pellistri

Antony suffered a devastating ankle injury against Chelsea. Ten Hag could start Jadon Sancho in place of the Brazilian, but we would like to see Pellistri given a chance on the right flank.

The 21-year-old has featured three times in the English top flight this season, but each of those appearances have come as a substitute.

His only start this campaign came in the 1-0 win over Real Betis in Europa League last-16 tie. He gave a lively performance and came very close to scoring a goal.

Ten Hag knows that Pellistri has immense potential and wants the youngster to sign a long-term contract with United before going out on loan next term.

Harry Maguire

United’s captain could be playing for the last time in front of the Old Trafford crowd tomorrow. His future is uncertain after starting just seven games in the league this season. 

Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof are ahead of him in the centre-back pecking order.

Varane has returned from an injury recently. He is a sure starter for the clash with Man City. 

It will be wise to let him rest and deploy Maguire alongside Lindelof in the heart of the defence.

The England international is not a fan favourite, but it will be good to see him drop a defensive masterclass as he did during his Leicester City days.
