NATIONAL SUMMARY
With a storm system continuing to move eastward, rain and a
few thunderstorms will linger in New York and New England
tomorrow. By late afternoon, this rain will continue to
push eastward, likely being confinded to Maine and Atlantic
Canada by this time. Localized flooding will remain a
possibility, especially in mountainous regions of New
England. Additional thunderstorms are likely in the
Southeast, some of which can also lead to flash flooding.
In the Plains and Upper Midwest, severe storms will be a
threat from West Texas northward to Nebraska, and eastward
into Wisconsin and far northern Michigan. Heavy rain,
lightning, damaging winds, hail and a few tornadoes will
all be possible. Heat will be on the increase in the
Southwest, with highs over 110 degrees in the low deserts.
