'Are you ok?' Followers reach out to George Santos after worrying social media post
Internet users across the political spectrum are concerned about Rep. George Santos (R-NY) after he made a cryptic post on social media Thursday.
Santos, the embattled lawmaker who is about to face an expulsion effort from fellow New York Republicans, is also staring down numerous federal charges including fraud. He has also recently been spotted by a spectator who mused that he was trying to make a move into the Hollywood industry.
Santos often posts on social media, including sharing jokes about other lawmakers, such as Dem. Rep. Rep. Jamaal Bowman. On Wednesday, however, he posted something totally out of the ordinary.
POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?
"Everything has an end in life," Santos wrote.
The post surpassed the popularity of many of those written by Santos on his social media, and the comments showed some individuals were concerned.
"You dont need to do this Mr. Santos," one user wrote on Wednesday.
"Don’t do it George," a verified user wrote on Thursday.
Another verified user simply wrote, "are you ok?" to Santos.
Another user reached out to Santos.
"Hey man. Get help. Call a friend. Stay well," he wrote.
A Trump-affiliated influencer's account wrote Thursday, "I hope you're OK, Representative. We the People love you."
