Piers Morgan lashes out at I’m A Celeb finalists – calling Sam Thompson a ‘TV halfwit’ and Nigel Farage ‘a snake’
PIERS Morgan has shocked fans by lashing out at the I’m A Celebrity finalists.
The TalkTV star, 58, branded Nigel Farage a “snake” while mocking his unsuccessful attempts to become an MP, and cruelly called the new winner, Sam Thompson, a “halfwit”.
In a cutting post last night, Piers wrote: “Congrats to Nigel Farage on losing a public vote for the 7th time, this time to an irritating reality TV halfwit in the lowest-rated series of I’m A Celebrity.
“And for ending up engulfed with snakes, an appropriate final humiliation for the biggest snake in Britain.”
Piers went on to explain why he wasn’t a fan of the former Ukip leader and accused him of trying to “sabotage” his work.
He told a fan: “It’s because he’s a treacherous little weasel who after I congratulated him on his own Donald Trump interview scoop then tried – but failed – to sabotage mine. Farage showed me his true colours then… he’s a disloyal snake.”
Asked by someone if he would ever do I’m A Celebrity, Piers insisted: “I would rather eat my own testicles.”
Last night saw Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson crowned king of the jungle.
Former professional boxer Tony Bellew was runner-up while Nigel came third.
Earlier in the episode, Nigel kept a cool head while he was locked in the “panic pit”, an underground metal box filled with snakes, for his final bushtucker trial.
He joked: “Lots of people would like the snake to strangle me, I suppose. Their dream might come true.”
Asked where he was going “in his head”, he said: “I’m thinking about things I’ve done in my life that were worse than this,” adding he was thinking about the plane crash he was in.
And questioned if he had dealt with a lot of snakes in his time, he said: “European parliament was stuffed with them, terrible lot.”
