Preview: Warriors take on Nuggets in Christmas Day rematch
The last two league champions battle it out!
The Golden State Warriors are looking to continue their undefeated ways in 2024 after knocking off the Orlando Magic to start off January. To do so, they’ll have to get revenge from a Christmas Day defeat to the world champion Denver Nuggets, led by superstar Euro center Nikola Jokic.
And they’ll have to do it without Draymond Green, their defensive enforcer who is still out with suspension for tussling with Euro centers. Impossible? Or VERY possible??

The last time Stephen Curry, greatest point guard alive, played Denver he scored 18 points on 7-of-21 shooting. He was also a rough 3-of-13 shooting from beyond the arc, continuing his stretch of Christmas Day game struggles.
That’s why I’m extremely optimistic about how he’ll play in tonight’s game, as the great players know how to bounce back and adjust after having a frustrating performance.
One of the great mysteries in sports: Curry on Christmas

It seemed the curse was over when he scored 31 at Phoenix in 2021. But it's back.
Steph in 10 Xmas games:
15.8 points
31.7 FG5
18 of 78 from three (23.1%)
20+ once in 10 games
That two-time MVP will be ready I’m sure. Meanwhile there’s another two-time in Denver, Mr. Jokic. He also didn’t have the best shooting game on Christmas against the Warriors, as he went 4-of-12 from the field.
But he got a healthy referee’s whistle as a beautiful holiday gift, something that sent Warriors Coach Steve Kerr into a frustrated place during and after the game.
Steve Kerr sounds off after Nikola Jokic’s 18 free throws: “I have a problem with the way we are legislating defense out of the game. We're just enabling players to BS their way to the foul line. If I were a fan, I wouldn't have wanted to watch the second half. It was disgusting." pic.twitter.com/YBWuldi0Za

Disgusting he said! Hopefully this game is a lot more pretty to watch, and ends in a Warriors win!
