I’ve got super long and healthy hair but trolls insist I have extensions – the 3 tricks on how I get it looking so good
A YOUNG woman with locks so long that even Rapunzel would be jealous has hit back at trolls that accuse her of having extensions.
Tessa Peay has golden hair, which she compares to honey, that are so long they stretch below her waist.
Tessa’s hair is so long that even Rapunzel would be jealous[/caption]And her tresses aren’t just long, they’re glossy and healthy too.
The 27-year-old puts her hair health down to a plethora of organic solutions, from using lemon juice and sunlight to get highlights and lathering it in homemade potions.
However, people often assume she’s lying and accuse her of having extensions.
In a recent video, Utah-based Tessa responded to a comment that said: “I’m kind of confused.
“You’re always talking about how good your hair is but you have extensions.”
The hair-fluencer joked that she couldn’t find her extensions alongside a video running her fingers through her hair and flipping it back and forth.
Her fans were quick to comment that trolls are “jealous” and that “it’s possible to have really long hair”.
“People who claim you have extensions have never had extensions themselves otherwise they’d know,” one penned.
“Let the trolls keep trolling,” another said.
“Your hair is gorgeous.”
Rosemary Oil
Among Tessa’s organic haircare tips is dousing her scalp in homemade rosemary oil multiple times a week.
Those wanting to reap the natural benefits of the herb-based oil should apply diluted rosemary oil directly to the roots, or patches of thin hair, and massage into the scalp.
“Rosemary oil contains carnosic acid, which is known to heal nerve and tissue damage by improving blood circulation and encouraging nerve growth,” Jason Goldberg, director at SpaSeekers.com, explained.
“This property helps the hair follicles to grow the hair and heal any irritations that people may be experiencing on their scalp.”
Good diet
According to Tessa, her diet filled with fruit, veg, nuts and seeds is vital to the health of her luscious locks.
“All the haircare in the world can’t out do a bad diet,” she said on Instagram.
“Make sure to include these foods in your diet and remember: balance is key.”
She also eats a lot of salmon, which is an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, which may support hair growth.
No heat, no dye
Tessa has a strictly no chemical or heat rule when it comes to looking after her hair.
She hasn’t visited a salon in years, instead opting for lemon juice and sunlight to give her highlights.
What’s more, she styles her hair using different heatless methods, like overnight curl tools and plaits.
