Softball

Mt. Hebron 16, Oakland Mills 0: The Vikings (11-5) closed the regular season with a fourth straight win, highlighted by an eight-run second inning. Rain Worrel and Alyssa Perez led the offense each with three RBIs. Kaelyn Cisna provided an added spark with three hits, including a triple. Katherine Williams and Abby Magdar each had multiple hits as well for Mt. Hebron. Madgar also pitched three shutout innings, striking out seven.

Perry Hall 19, Carver A&T 6: Ameila Kitchin worked both sides of the plate to lead the visiting Gators over the Wildcats. Kitchin threw 6⅔ innings of relief, gave up one run on three hits, walked one and struck out six for the win. Kitchin went 4-for-5, had three doubles and three RBIs

Fallston 5, Francis Scott Key 4: The Cougars snapped the Eagles’ 16-game winning streak. Sara Frist’s RBI single in the top of the sixth broke a tie game and proved to be the winning run. Maddy Burns had three hits, including a home run, and two RBIs. Frist also had three hits. Allyson Underwood threw 4 ⅔ hitless innings in relief to get the win. For FSK, Jasmine Kline had two hits, including a home run, and three RBIs.

Century 2, Tuscarora 0, 8 innings: Winning pitcher Jordan Currie went eight innings and struck out six, and the visiting Knights shut out the Titans. Caylee Clark stole third base and scored the go-ahead run on an infield ground ball hit by Abby Mastria.

Southern 15, Annapolis 0: Kelly Medhurst went 3-for-4 with five RBIs and struck out 11 in the circle to lead the host Bulldogs over the Panthers. Nicole Perez went 2-for-4 and drove in two runs and Kylie Rohr had two RBIs for Southern, which won for the seventh time this season. Kenzie Johnson and Rylee Catterton each scored three runs for the Bulldogs.

Baseball

Patterson Mill 3, C. Milton Wright 1: Michael Hemelt went seven innings, gave up one run on four hits, walked three and struck out 13 and the visiting Huskies beat the Mustangs. Patterson Mill scored all three runs in the first inning and gave up one run in the seventh inning.

Harford Tech 10, Joppatowne 0: Sam Roney and CJ Scism combined efforts to throw a no-hitter for the host Cobras (13-4, 10-2) over the Mariners. Roney pitched the first two innings, walked one and struck out two. Reliever Scism went three innings and struck out eight. The victory secured the Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference Susquehanna Division. Aiden Sullivan (2-for-2) had a double, a stolen base, two runs scored and two RBIs for Harford Tech.

Chesapeake-AA 8, Crofton 1: Winning pitcher Dylan Adams went seven innings, gave up one run on four hits, walked two and struck out eight and the host Cougars beat the Cardinals. Carter Drab (2-for-4) had two doubles, an RBI and scored twice for Chesapeake.

Glen Burnie 8, Broadneck 3: Brandon Brown worked 6 ⅓  innings, gave up one run on four hits to lead the host Gophers over the Bruins.  Offensively, Adam Sexton went 4-for-4 with four runs scored,  Johnathan Maddox went 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs and  Mason Williams had two hits for Glen Burnie

Franklin 27, Loch Raven 2: Andy Guzman went 5-for-6 with a home run and two doubles, driving in four runs to power the Indians, who totaled 26 hits on the day. Jacob Wise also homered and drove in four. Spencer Logwood went 3-for-3 with three RBIs. Ben Brandenberg also drove in three.

River Hill 19, City 2: The Hawks (13-5) closed the regular season with a big win with 17 hits. Henry Zatkowski led the offense with four hits, including a triple and a game-high five RBIs. Ryan Walsh also had four hits, including a triple and four RBIs. Nine different River Hill players had a hit in the win.

Boys lacrosse

Gilman 15, St. Mary’s 2: The visiting Greyhounds (11-5, 6-3 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference) beat the Saints (5-12, 2-7). Gilman was led by Jay Wilkerson (3 goals, 2 assists), James Meyer (3 goals, 1 assist) and Jay Rodgers (2 goals, 1 assist). Both teams will complete their respective regular-season play on Tuesday. The Greyhounds travel to  McDonogh and St. Mary’s hosts Severn.

Broadneck 17, Southern 3: Tyler Hicks (4 goals, 1 assist), Tyler Stewart (4 goals) and Braden McCassie (3 goals, 2 assists) led the host Bruins over the Bulldogs. Graham Hartman won 18 of 19 faceoffs for Broadneck.

Fallston 7, Catonsville 1: Gage McKenna had a goal and an assist to lead the host Cougars (10-4)  over the Comets. Fallston led 4-1 in the first half. Landon Mills made eight savs and Jaxson Hilyard had one save for the Cougars.

Westminster 15, South Carroll 5: The visiting Owls built a 7-2 lead in the first half over the Cavaliers. Westminster was led by Jack Hitchcock (2 goals, 5 assists), Jacob Speigle (5 goals, 1 assist), Gavin Gifford (2 goals 2 assists), Chase Zepp (2 goals 1 assist) and Nick Compher (2 goals, 1 assist). Connor McNamara made nine saves for the Owls.

Girls lacrosse

River Hill 18, Wilde Lake 4: Zoe Schodzinski led the Hawks with seven points (three goals, four assists) in the win. Gabby Bergstrom scored four times for River Hill, while Sydney Case and Charlotte Laraway each scored twice. River Hill (8-6, 5-4 Howard County) won its second straight to close the regular season.

Patterson Mill 20, Loch Raven 3: Addison Harmel scored a game-high five goals and Sam Chittum had three goals and three assists to lead the host Huskies over the Raiders. Other three-goal scorers for Patterson Mill included: Ava Lopano, Rylie Madsen and Hannah Kries. Patterson Mill goalie Gabby Eraso made seven saves.

Long Reach 16, Atholton 1: The Lightning (8-3, 6-3 Howard County) closed the regular season with a win. Lucy Paulhamus and Chiara Pompei led the way each with five goals and an assist. Both Hayley Norton and Delaney Daffan scored twice as well for Long Reach.

South Carroll 10, Westminster 7: Leah Miller scored a game-high eight goals to lead the visiting Cavaliers (8-4) over the Owls. Reese Athey and Rowan Miller also scored. Caelin Lopes made nine saves for South Carroll.
