Love Island star slams Joey Essex in blistering rant – and accuses him of game plan after Grace u-turn
CHRISTOPHER Taylor has slammed Joey Essex for his behaviour in recent episodes of the ITV2 show.
The former Love Island star was joined by comedian Kae Kurd and dumped Islander Tiffany Leighton on the latest episode of Love Island: The Morning After podcast.
Discussing Joey’s latest antics, Chris said: “Joey went in quite hard on Grace for the Omar situation.”
Kae responded: “When I see Joey Essex, right, this is beef. I feel disrespected because of the way he’s gone on in that villa. He’s confused me to a level now.”
“He’s confused the whole of the UK, mate,” Chris quipped.
Kae continued: “He has. If I see him in real life, I’m going to have to be like, ‘Mate, can I just pull you for a chat? I feel like you really confuse me.'”
“It was when he took Jessy to the terrace and then he was like, ‘I wanted you to pick me, I really wanted you. I’m so glad this has happened.’ I lost it at that point.”
“I can’t,” Chris said, shaking his head in his hands before asking: “Any thoughts?”
Sharing her opinion, Tiffany said: “He’s just moving mad, but I was a bit shocked because I thought Joey was obsessed with Grace. The fact that he’s even entertaining this new girl, I’m just like, ‘Eugh?'”
Chris responded: “That’s the craziest thing because that’s what it looks like from the outside, and apparently the inside. How would the two not marry up?”
“What is going on in the brain of Joey Essex?” he added.
Laughing in disbelief, Kae said: “Well, I think this is a question people have been trying to answer for about 15 years.”
Chris said: “I’m going to make a prediction. All of my predictions so far have been very wrong, but I actually think Grace might stay strong in her decision and not return to Joey if he tries the U-turn.”
It comes after Joey sparked uproar when he told Jessy he wasn’t closed off, despite giving Grace a completely different version of events.
Trying to justify his actions, he told Grace: “In my head, if we can get through this, this what’s happened, it’ll only make us stronger. That’s how I see it.”
Grace replied: “It’s difficult for me to sit here and be like, ‘You do what you need to do, if you feel like you need to explore something with someone else, I’ll just sit here and wait.’ I’m not going to do that Joey.
“But I don’t get it, are you still wanting to get to know her. If you are, then I don’t want to be involved…”
Joey told her: “I still need to… I can’t not get to know this girl.. I just feel like if I didn’t I would be silly.”
The Towie star then pretended to act shocked when Jessy picked him in the surprise recouping – leaving Grace furious.
How many times has Chris Taylor been on Love Island?
Chris has had two stints at Love Island.
He first landed on our screens for season 5 back in 2019.
The joker was eliminated from the competition in episode 45 with partner Harley Brash.
However, their romance was short-lived and they broke up two weeks later.
Fast forward to earlier this year, Chris took part in Love Island All Stars.
He had a short fling with fellow contestant Joanna Chimonides.
The reality star then got voted off by his fellow co-stars to which he later slammed them for – and claimed things were fixed against him.
