Eamonn Holmes ‘living in small flat’ after moving out of £3million mansion he shared with Ruth Langsford amid illness
EAMONN Holmes is now “living in a small flat” after moving out of the £3million Surrey home he shared with wife Ruth Langsford.
Back in May we exclusively reported how the telly duo, both 64, were set to divorce after 14 years of marriage.
The Sun was then first to report how broadcaster Eamonn – who previously presented This Morning with Ruth – had upped sticks from the country home before news of their split became public.
Now it appears he has downsized after admitting he was “struggling behind the scenes.”
A friend of Eamonn’s has opened up on his current living arrangements and told MailOnline: “It’s all a rather sorry affair.
“It was only a few months ago he was living in his lovely family home with Ruth.
“Yes, they were troubled, but she was caring for him and he had some kind of normality.
“Now, he is alone in a flat living a pretty solitary existence. His marriage ending after such a long time has been something he has found difficult to accept.”
Recently, insiders said the couple had drifted apart, with their last social media post in July 2022.
Their incredible family home boasts a family kitchen and cosy living room as well as a workout space.
The kitchen has fresh white marble worktops for a fresh feel while there’s the contrast of black furniture in the living areas.
Outside, there’s a huge garden with a flagstone-paved workout space and sofas to relax on afterwards.
Yet without the need for a huge home, Eamonn is starting his fresh chapter in something more compact.
Another source told the Daily Mail of the GB News star: “Eamonn has been struggling with his health for many years.
“When he started here he was in pain, in a bit of a state, but since the Ruth news came out we are really concerned.

November 2020 – Ruth and Eamonn are replaced on their regular Friday slot by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary in a ‘show shake-up’.
December 2021 – After a year of being moved to the bank holiday presenting slot, both Eamonn and Ruth left This Morning.
January 2022 – Eamonn debuted on GB News, while Ruth stayed with ITV in her long-standing role on Loose Women.
September 2022 – Eamonn undergoes spinal surgery after years of back issues including a trapped sciatic nerve.
November 2022 – Eamonn falls down the stairs of his Surrey home with Ruth and breaks his shoulder, requiring a new operation.
September 2023 – Eamonn has a spine and neck stretching procedure as part of his year-long recovery.
May 2024 – Ruth and Eamonn announce they have split after 14 years of marriage and a 27-year relationship.
“He is down, he is quieter and he seems to be in even more discomfort.
“You have to wonder whether it was his split from Ruth that’s contributed to his ailing health.”
NOT OK
It comes after we reported how Eamonn struggled to walk and admitted he was “not OK” at the TRIC awards this week.
He attended the annual ceremony in London solo, using a wheelchair for assistance.
The Belfast-born TV star is in chronic pain and had a double hip replacement in 2016, followed by surgery in 2023.
Speaking about their split at the awards ceremony, after GB News scooped an accolade, Eamonn was accused of taking a swipe at the Loose Women anchor.
He also opened up on their break-up said: “I’m not OK.
“This is not a good time at all.”
He added to The Mirror: “It’s too early to say but I hope we can still be friends.”
Previously, we told how Eamonn is being consoled by a blonde divorcee in her 40s – who also happens to be a marriage counsellor.
SAD SPLIT
TV’s golden couple revealed their split after 14 years in an exclusive statement to The Sun on Sunday.
Their spokesperson told us: “Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.”
Despite the news breaking in spring, Eamonn had hinted at their troubles six months beforehand.
The couple share son Jack, 22.
Eamonn is also dad to three children from his previous marriage.
