A WOMAN has revealed she was left stunned when she was asked for ID while buying a garden broom in B&M.
Ellie explained that she wanted to purchase the weed scraper, but the staff in the high street store wouldn’t sell it to her because she couldn’t prove she was over 16.
Sharing a video on TikTok of herself enjoying an iced coffee, Ellie wrote over the top: “B&M have just refused to sell me a weed scraping broom because I didn’t have ID to prove that I’m over 16.
“What about these voluptuous breasts and sick tatts suggests that I am a child?
“What about this perfect girl next door face suggests that I’m going to shank someone with a weed scraper?
“I’m so taken aback I’ve had to come and get a Greggs to think the situation over!”
She added in the caption: “I’m nearly 26 by the way.
“They also refused me the caulk scraper so any advice on what household items I can use instead would be greatly appreciated!”
Ellie also put hashtags including #babyface on her video caption.
People in the comments section quickly weighed in, with many recalling their own tales of being IDs for bizarre purchases.

“We have this policy where if you look under the age of 25 we HAVE to ask for ID,” a third said.
