They said they swear by the $10 buy that helped their lashes grow thicker and longer.
A Redditor shared the skincare and beauty tips in a post.
“I am a firm believer in castor oil for lash growth,” they said.
Their preferred choice of castor oil, they revealed, is black Jamaican castor oil.
“It’s been years since I’ve done this, but now I’m inspired to begin again!”
They explained that their renewed lash routine made a huge difference in its length.
“Before bed, after putting on my night creams, I’d curl my lashes (with a different curler than the one when putting on mascara) and apply only a little tiny bit of castor oil on my lashes as I’d curl them,” they said.
“My lashes were much more thick and long when I did this.”
The castor oil, they added, doubled as an inexpensive eye cream.
“Also, the extra oil that would rub on my under eyes is a fantastic moisturizer!” they said.
When applying the oil, they advised beauty fans to start slow.
“Just a little bit goes a long way! Your eyes shouldn’t get irritated. If they do, even after using only a little bit, then it might be best to discontinue,” they said.
“Make sure to wash your curler regularly with water and soap after each use.”
