Putin: Struggle for New World Order underway after Trump win
On Thursday, in a speech following Donald Trump’s election victory, the Russian President accused the West of attempting to impose a “strategic defeat” on Moscow.
He stated that despite America’s efforts to isolate Russia, Moscow does not consider Western civilization its enemy.
He remarked, “The old world order is irreversibly disappearing; we could say it has already vanished. A serious and uncompromising struggle is underway to shape a new structure.”
The President emphasized, “The world needs Russia, and no decisions made by so-called superiors in Washington or Brussels can change this reality.”
Notably, during his address, the Russian President did not mention Trump or his victory in the U.S. election.
He stressed that Russia seeks to be part of a balanced global order rather than isolated by Western powers. Russia’s focus, he noted, is on pursuing independent policies that reflect its values and interests.
Despite ongoing tensions, Russia maintains that cooperation, not confrontation, is essential for addressing global issues. However, he warned that efforts to sideline Russia would not serve the stability of the world.
As the West and Russia navigate a changing global landscape, Moscow stands firm on its stance to avoid isolation. Russia’s enduring presence on the world stage is a reminder of its pivotal role amid the complex dynamics of international relations.
