But one tech expert has revealed three little-known tips that can help you make the most out of your battery.

Digital creator Thiago Derminio, who shares "tech tips for the average user," imparted his knowledge in a recent Instagram video, where he boasts 370,000 followers. "The biggest villain for iPhones is their battery," Derminio explains. "Everyone complains that it runs out too quickly, and this gets even worse over the years."

First of all, Derminio says to head to your Settings and go down to the "Siri and search" menu. If you have an older model iPhone, it may present you with the options as separate drop-downs, in which case just select "Siri." Once there, simply uncheck the four tasks underneath "Suggestions from Apple." He reiterates that these are simply suggestions from Apple, and will consume your battery in the background.

Next, Derminio says to go back to Settings and select "Accessibility." From there, select "Motion" and make sure to toggle on "Reduce Motion." This can help improve battery life and performance by limiting visual effects and animations that require processing power.

Finally, he recommends going to the "General" menu in Settings and turning off the "Background App Refresh." The function allows apps to refresh content in the background when connected to Wi-Fi or cellular. Turning off apps generally will help preserve battery life, but if you tend to have multiple windows open at once, this can help prevent apps from draining your phone, as well as internet data.
