TV Line‘s Matt Webb Mitovich was asked if the show had received more episodes from ABC.
He shared, “No, production on Season 1 has concluded — but please know that the ABC hit’s freshman run is in fact 13 episodes,” as opposed to a 10 episode count some shows get. No info has been revealed at this time about a potential second season, but fans are wondering if an announcement could be coming.
Tonight, a brand new episode of High Potential will air, and it’s the ninth episode in season 1. So there’s still a handful left before the finale!
High Potential follows a single mom (Kaitlin Olson) with an exceptional mind, whose unconventional knack for solving crimes leads to an unusual and unstoppable partnership with a by-the-book seasoned detective (Daniel Sunjata). The series also stars Javicia Leslie as Daphne, Deniz Akdeniz as Lev “Oz” Ozdil, Amirah J as Ava, Matthew Lamb as Elliot and Judy Reyes as Selena.
The ABC series is based on the popular French series Haut Potentiel Intellectuel (HPI).
