When Is 'Severance' Season 3 Release Date? The Wait Is Confirmed to Be Shorter This Time!
Severance has not yet been officially renewed for a third season, but it seems almost certain that it’s going to happen.

Severance season one debuted in February 2022 and finished airing in April 2022. Apple didn’t drop the second season until nearly three years later in January 2025. The writers’ and actors’ strikes that took place in 2023 greatly delayed many TV shows.
Director Ben Stiller recently shared that despite the series not getting a renewal yet, “there is a writers room underway in L.A.,” according to THR. He also said he “he hopes not to keep audiences waiting three years.”
Matt Cherniss, head of programming at Apple TV+, added that the fan favorite series is “an incredible success story in every way imaginable.”
While appearing on Travis Kelce‘s New Heights podcast, Ben was also asked about the three-year wait time.
“No, no, the plan is not—definitely not,” he responded. “No, the plan is not, and hopefully, we’ll be announcing what the plan is very soon. That will not be that.”
