MAFS star Ella Morgan has taken a swipe at her ex JJ Slater, as she opened up on his relationship with Katie Price.
After weeks of rumours, Katie confirmed her relationship with Married At First Sight star JJ Slater in February last year.
But since getting together, the couple have had a very rocky relationship.
Ella also dated JJ, when they both appeared alongside each other on Married At First Sight.
They had an affair on the E4 show and even ended up re-entering as a new couple – but things didn’t quite work out for them.
Ella hasn’t really opened up on JJ’s new relationship with mum-of-five Katie, until she sat down with MAFS expert, Paul C. Brunson.
Speaking on his We Need To Talk podcast, Ella opened up on their split.
But she also said his relationship with Katie “makes her laugh.”
Ella shared: “It does make me laugh. Because I’m like ‘you say I’m crazy’ – and I love Katie – but you’re with her now.
“So, yeah, you never know. I just wasn’t the right person for him.
“And I haven’t actually seen him since we did the show because we were texting before the vow renewals and I knew he wasn’t feeling it.
“I knew he was going to say no at the vow renewals and I actually wanted to say yes.”
Ella then continued: “I actually didn’t get over JJ for – because it was such a big moment in my life on such a big public scale – I’d say it took me six to eight months to get over him.
“I really did like him, but I’m fully over him now and I wish him the best and Katie the best.”
Ella’s chat comes after she broke down in tears on another podcast, while discussing her most recent boyfriend, Alex.
The 31-year-old reality star admitted to Olivia Attwood‘s So Wrong It’s Right podcast that Alex was her first proper boyfriend and that she’d told him she loved him.
She said: “I don’t want to badmouth him too much.
“I had some messages from other girls saying my boyfriend at the time had been messaging them, gave him the benefit of the doubt.”
Ella began to get emotional as she remembered the painful separation and host Olivia did her best to comfort her.
“I am over it,” said Ella. “The breakup was really hard because I was falling in love with him. I’m sad because I don’t think I was treated very nicely.
“I’ve got this built up anger towards him.”
Ella said she was having to learn a lot about relationships after spending her early adult years transitioning – she underwent gender reassignment surgery in 2015.
Despite the heartache, she said she’s in a much better place now and is glad she is out of the relationship.
She even revealed that close pal Stephen Webb, who starred alongside her on Celebs Go Dating, told her and Alex that he could only see them lasting six more weeks when they were all in Ibiza last year.
Ella also spoke about her MAFS ex JJ Slater, who is now in a relationship with Katie Price.
Revealing she had no bad blood with the couple, Ella called Katie an “icon” and said she doesn’t have a bad word to say about her.
