Musk slams ‘fake judges’ who 'should be ashamed of themselves'

Tech billionaire Elon Musk slammed “fake judges” challenging him in legal battles during an interview on Fox News’s “The Five” Tuesday, where he also highlighted the importance of the Wisconsin Supreme Court race.

Musk, who leads the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has been a large focus of the Supreme Court election, which will be decided Tuesday.

“The reason tonight’s elections are so important is that the judge race will decide whether the Wisconsin districts get redrawn,” Musk said.

He argued that Democrats are looking to gerrymander Wisconsin’s congressional districts and “remove two Republican seats.”

“As you may know, the House is currently Republican by a razor-thin margin, which means that losing this judge race has a good chance of causing Republicans to lose control of the House,” Musk said.

The DOGE leader recently held a town hall in Wisconsin where he had event attendees sign a petition against “activist judges.” He chose two people to receive $1 million checks, which has been scrutinized as a way to buy votes.

President Trump and Musk are rooting for conservative Brad Schimel to win the race. He is going up against liberal judge Susan Crawford.

Democratic energy has grown on a grassroots level and the election is being viewed as the first critical bellwether of Trump’s second term.

“This could be decided by a single voter, potentially, that’s how close it is,” Musk said. “And so, if you know people in Wisconsin, call them right now and ask them to go and vote.”

While Musk has faced criticism as his role in the Trump administration grows, he has also been entangled in various legal battles looking to curb DOGE’s slashing of federal programs.

He's previously called for a “wave of judicial impeachments,” putting a spotlight on the power dynamic between the executive and judicial branches.

During the interview, Musk said there is a “huge problem” with “activist” judges or judges who are wanting to be politicians, which he said, “needs to stop.”

“It’s undermining the integrity, the reality and the perception of the integrity of the legal system of the United States, and these fake judges should be ashamed of themselves,” he said, adding, “but they are not.”
