A new book titled Fight: Inside the Wildest Battle for the White House lays bare the wreckage Barack Hussein Obama left behind in the Democrat Party — a mess so catastrophic that one party operative summed it up with a simple, brutal verdict: “Obama destroyed that s—.”
Published by William Morrow and Company and penned by far-left journalists Jonathan Allen of NBC News and Amie Parnes of The Hill, the book paints Obama not as a unifier or party builder but as an egotistical leftist who siphoned off money, influence, and grassroots energy to feed his own personal brand — only to abandon it when the checks stopped rolling in.
According to the New York Post, Obama didn’t build up the party that handed him the presidency.
Instead, he cozied up to a clique of “black professionals” to prop up his campaigns, sidelining the broader Democrat base.
Then, he drove the knife in deeper with Organizing for Action (OFA), a shady nonprofit he launched in 2012 to push his personal agenda after his re-election.
By the time Obama waltzed out of the White House, Democrats had lost over 1,000 seats nationwide, control of both chambers of Congress, and much of their credibility.
But let’s face it—it’s no secret that conservatives have long suspected Barack Hussein Obama never truly left the political stage after his eight-year reign ended in 2017.
Biden’s White House has been a mess from day one. The man can barely string a sentence together without a teleprompter, and even then, he’s stumbling over words like a toddler learning to read.
The New York Post reported:
Obama’s creation of Organizing for Action — a nonprofit that launched in 2012 following Obama’s re-election to advance his legislative priorities — fractured the Democratic Party, according to the book, authored by political journalists Jonathan Allen of NBC News and Amie Parnes of The Hill.
“Though Organizing for Action never realized his vision, it competed with the party for power and money,” the book said. “He left the Democratic Party far weaker than he found it. Or, as one party operative put it, ‘Obama destroyed that s—.’”
The book also detailed how the Clintons, along with Biden and former Democratic National Committee Chair Donna Brazile and a few other party operatives, sought to “rebuild the party infrastructure” following Obama’s 2016 departure from the White House. This meant preventing far-left Democrats from seizing control of the party and ensuring party loyalists ran the show, according to the book.“
By helping install party loyalists at the national and state committees over the course of years, these establishment Democrats kept progressive outsiders at bay. ‘You know who did that?’ said one Biden ally familiar with the maneuvering. ‘Bill and Hillary motherf—ing Clinton,’” the book related.
Fast forward to 2024, and Obama’s arrogance was on full display again. When Joe Biden’s mental decline became too obvious to ignore, Obama hesitated to back Kamala Harris as the Democrat nominee.
Obama reportedly doubted Harris’s ability to defeat Donald Trump, and only endorsed her five agonizing days after Biden’s exit to choke out an endorsement, a delay that left Harris fuming and forced some awkward “mending,” according to sources, per The Post.
Too little, too late—Trump crushed Harris in November, and Obama’s legacy took another well-deserved hit.
Democrat strategists are starting to admit what conservatives have said for years: Barack Obama is out of touch, overhyped, and clueless about the working-class Americans who abandoned the party under his watch.
Even MSNBC’s Ben Burgess, no friend to the Right, admitted in an op-ed per The Post that Obama still doesn’t understand how his presidency laid the groundwork for Donald Trump’s return.
