One of the most stunning records held by Vinod Kambli is becoming the fastest Indian to score 1000 runs in Test cricket, achieving this feat in just 14 innings. Even youngsters like Yashasvi Jaiswal could not manage to beat him, managing to reach the1000-run mark in 16 innings.

Despite gaining early success, Vinod’s career witnessed a sharp decline. He played his last ODI match in October 2000 against Sri Lanka, eventually retiring from international cricket in 2009. His time as a cricketer ended in 2011 as he stepped away from first-class cricket.
