3 Places to Meet 'Quality Women,' According to a Dating Coach

While a rising amount of people are meeting their significant others through online dating, most people would still prefer to do it the old fashioned way - in person.

Still, that's easier said than done. With the rise in dating apps, and the fear of being publicly rejected, it's getting harder and harder to meet your possible significant other in real life. However, professional dating coach Blaine Anderson is here to help with that.

Anderson, who studied at the University of Arizona before getting to work in the travel industry, first started helping her guy friends meet women back in college. 

"My guy friends would ask me for dating advice about my sorority sisters," she writes. 

"The BEST guys had the WORST luck with girls, and it confused me. I became obsessed with figuring out why. Do women hate nice guys? Or is there another problem?"

Anderson recently named three places where you can meet "quality" women in real life.

1. Yoga and pilates

Meeting women at the gym can be hard, especially when everyone is working out with headphones in. However, in a group class, it's easier. Everyone is there for a shared interest and there's an easy ice breaker - talk about the class.

Anderson stresses that you shouldn't be going to these classes with the sole intention of meeting someone - you need to actually want to take the class and see the benefits of it - but they can be a great place to meet someone, too.

2. Co-working spaces

While much of the corporate world is heading back to the office, many people are still working from home - or at co-working spaces - several days a week.

Whether it's a coffee shop or a WeWork situation, it can be nice to meet someone in a professional setting, while not having to risk dating someone that you actually work with.

3. Volunteering events

From animal shelters to food drives to soup kitchens, there are a ton of great volunteering options out there.

Like the gym classes, you shouldn't be going to these events with the goal of meeting someone - the volunteer work is the priority, obviously - but meeting someone with a shared interest of helping the community can be ideal.
