Tottenham Hotspur could receive a bid from a fellow Premier League side to re-sign one of their former players this summer, and the price tag sounds decent for Spurs.
While there has been a lot said and written about potential incomings at Tottenham this summer, one would also expect several departures as the Lilywhites continue their squad rebuilding.
One man who looks certain to leave is Richarlison, who has endured another injury-hit campaign and has struggled to get a run in the side.
While a few Brazilian clubs are thought to be keen on landing the forward, it has been revealed by some sources that Richarlison would prefer to remain in Europe.
He may get a chance to do that as rumours first emerged in March that Richarlison is on Everton’s summer wishlist, and there has now been a further update on the matter.
Everton are ready to make an offer for Richarlison
GiveMeSport have now confirmed that the Tottenham Hotspur man is indeed wanted by the Toffees, who are said to be contemplating whether to ‘up the ante’ for the forward.
The report claims that David Moyes wants to add more firepower to his forward line, and the Merseyside club could thus launch a £30m offer for Richarlison.
Moyes and the senior figures at Everton are said to be increasingly confident that the 27-year-old can revive his career back at Goodison Park.
While it is not revealed whether that offer will be enough to convince Tottenham to sell, the outlet asserts that Spurs have accepted that the only chance they have of recouping the full fee they paid for Richarlison is if he agrees to move to Saudi Arabia.
Everton’s negotiating strategy for Richarlison revealed
GiveMeSport explain that Everton are now considering opening talks with Tottenham and retain hope that they could re-sign their former player for a ‘bargain fee’.
The Toffees first aim to discover the lowest amount of cash that Spurs will consider for the Brazil international before making a formal offer.
However, the publication makes it clear that Everton simply do not have the financial means to compete with Saudi clubs if Richarlison is willing to consider a move to the Middle East.
