Tottenham could battle Aston Villa and Newcastle for £100m midfielder
Tottenham Hotspur may find themselves in a three-way transfer battle for Jack Grealish this summer as Manchester City’s stance on the attacking midfielder comes to light.
Grealish has been a bit-part player at Man City for much of the season and with Pep Guardiola’s men undertaking a rebuild, there is a question mark about his future at the club.
It has been claimed over recent weeks that Tottenham could go back in for Grealish this summer after failing to get a deal over the line for him in January.
However, a fresh update has explained why a deal for the 29-year-old would be difficult to pull off for Ange Postecoglou’s men.

GiveMeSport have now revealed that Spurs, Aston Villa and Newcastle United have all expressed their interest in Grealish ahead of the summer.
It is explained that Man City may be willing to cash in on the England international at the end of the season, four years on from spending £100m to secure him from Aston Villa.
The outlet says that the Premier League champions have ‘given indications’ that they will entertain offers for Grealish, with the three clubs thus gearing up for a potential transfer battle.
However, it is pointed out that the winger’s wages could be a ‘significant stumbling block’ for Tottenham, Villa and Newcastle, with the player currently earning £300,000 per week at the Manchester club.
Grealish and Man City’s stance explained
Interestingly, GiveMeSport say that Grealish would prefer to remain at the Etihad and fight for his place, while Pep Guardiola is also not actively pushing for him to be sold.
However, the Man City hierarchy are not ruling out the possibility of cashing in on the former Aston Villa man this summer.
This is because the Premier League champions need to sanction a few departures to free up the funds to push ahead with moves for their top summer targets.
