Adele makes very rare public appearance with fiancé Rich Paul after announcing indefinite break from music
ADELE is making the most of her downtime by enjoying a basketball game with her fiancé, Rich Paul.
The couple, who have been dating since 2021, watched the LA Lakers play against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday night.
Sitting courtside, the pair seemed hooked into the game, with the sports agent and the singer chatting animatedly and leaning into each other.
Rich was seen wearing a baseball cap and black sweatshirt, while Adele kept it casual in an oversized shirt.
They later spoke to other revellers at the match, who seemed delighted to see them.
After completing a two-year residency in Las Vegas, Adele has been enjoying some downtime with her loved one.
She announced an indefinite hiatus as the shows came to a close, explaining in an emotional farewell: “It’s time for the next chapter and it’s time for the next season of my life.”
Adele and Rich both try to keep their relationship out of the spotlight, and are most often seen together supporting the Lakers during their games.
They have also been keeping fans on their toes in relation to their marital status, with Adele referring to Rich as her ‘husband’ back in November 2023.
However, they later confirmed they hadn’t, in fact, got married, but in August 2024 Adele announced they were engaged.
The Sun exclusively revealed a month prior how the sports agent had popped the question, and Adele confirmed the news during a residency in Germany.
The superstar told the 80,000 strong crowd in Munich after spotting a sign in the crowd that read “will you marry me?”.
The cheeky Brit responded and said: “I can’t marry you because I’m already getting married!”
She then turned her hand so that her engagement ring could be seen on the huge screens at the purpose built stadium.
A source said: “Rich planned for the proposal to be in her hometown, and gave her an incredible four carat diamond ring.
“They celebrated with champagne at Chiltern Firehouse the following evening.”
Adele was previously married to entrepreneur Simon Konecki from 2018 to 2021, and together they have an 11-year-old son, Angelo.
She began dating dad-of-three Rich, said to be worth £100million, in 2021, and a year later they spent £46m on an LA mansion once owned by Sylvester Stallone.
