Caitlin Clark’s Animated Reaction to Ref Goes Viral

WNBA star Caitlin Clark's animated reaction to a referee is going viral.

One X user who shared the video wrote, "Caitlin can’t help but yap at the ref on her way out."

That video, which has had more than 127,000 views, starts with Clark throwing red T-shirts into the crowd at the April 22, 2025, playoff game between the Indiana Pacers and the Milwaukee Bucks. She then walked up to a ref and gestured in an animated fashion toward the referee, who briefly engaged with her before they both walked off.

However, it's not clear that it was a negative interaction at all. Although it's not clear what Clark said, the ref appeared to have a smile on his face as he walked off.

All the same, fans had fun dissecting the interaction in the comment thread on X.

"It's nice to see her come out of her shell and share her feelings with the refs," another X user wrote. "Looks like she was yapping with everybody to be fair lol," another X user weighed in.

"She's reintroducing herself to the refs lol," joked another fan.

Daily Mail labeled the interaction "bizarre."

According to Daily Mail, Clark's appearance at the game was a "surprise." Another X user who shared the video wrote, "Caitlin Clark throws out @IndianaFever t-shirts to Pacers fans with Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell. Looks like she even has a little fun with the head ref as she walks off the court, too."
