Watch Scarlett Johansson Avoid Ex-Husband Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively at TIME100 Gala
Scarlett Johansson managed to avoid being seen near her ex-husband Ryan Reynolds while they both attended the TIME100 Gala.
In a video from the April 24 event, the 40-year-old actress was all smiles as she arrived at the gala and was seen quickly leaving the carpet after posing for photos. Just moments later, Reynolds hit the carpet with his now-wife, Blake Lively. Both women were honored at the gala after appearing on the TIME100 list of the Most Influential People of 2025, where Johansson was also interviewed by fellow Marvel star Chris Evans!
Reynolds and Johansson married in 2008 after a year of dating but separated in 2010, two years before he walked down the aisle for a second time with Lively. “After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we’ve decided to end our marriage,” Reynolds and Johansson wrote in a statement issued to People at the time of their split. “We entered our relationship with love, and it’s with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn’t expected, it’s certainly appreciated.”
However, there doesn’t appear to be any bad blood between the pair. During a 2023 appearance on Gwyneth Paltrow’s The goop Podcast, Johansson said of Reynolds, “He’s a good guy.”
After splitting from Reynolds, Johansson married French journalist Romain Dauriac in 2014 and welcomed a daughter, Rose, before their 2017 divorce. She has been married to SNL star Colin Jost since 2020 and they share a son, Cosmo.
At TIME100, Reynolds supported Lively as she delivered a speech at the event in which she alluded to her her ongoing legal battle with her It Ends with Us director and co-star Justin Baldoni. In her speech, Lively spoke about her own mother who survived an assault by a work acquaintance “who attempted to take her life.”
“I’ve watched [my mom] conceal her raw and undeserved shame my entire life, so as her daughter, being asked to share this today is monumental,” she said. “If we name it, we change it.” Lively also thanked “every man, including my sweet husband, who [is] kind and good when no one is watching.”
