Towie’s Dan Edgar makes shock confession over Ella Rae Wise romance after she breaks down in tears in CBB over split
THE Only Way Is Essex star Dan Edgar has made a shock confession over his romance with Ella Rae Wise.
The reality TV hunk was in an on-off romance with Ella until it came crashing down just days before she entered the Celebrity Big Brother house.
Ella ended the romance and then went straight into the house but scenes currently playing out on ITVBe‘s TOWIE were filmed before they called time on their relationship.
In the show’s latest episode, Dan made a shock confession about his romance with Ella that left his co-star Diags and Roman Hackett stunned.
Dan confessed that he had never formally asked Ella to be his girlfriend.
Instead, he took an assuming approach they were an item due to the amount of time they had spent with one another.
He later admitted he told Ella she was his girlfriend when she enquired about the status of their relationship.
Speaking on the show, Roman appeared confused as he asked Dan: “Are you going to ask [Ella] to be your girlfriend?”
Dan answered back: “It wasn’t that I was never gonna ask her, it just got to a stage where I felt we were both happy and just going with the flow of it.”
Diags insisted that Ella would want to have been formally asked.
He told Dan to “pull your finger out of your a**e and ask her”.
Roman then joked Dan had just been telling people “we are together, innit,” but Dan rebuffed the suggestion, saying: “I didn’t say it like that.
“I never said that. I said to her ‘we are [together]’.
“I just said to her ‘we are in a relationship’.”
Diags then quipped that his gesture was “so romantic” in a sarcastic comment.
It comes after Ella was seen breaking down in tears over the end of the romance during her first few days in the CBB house.
On the show, Ella was quizzed on her relationship status by housemates Angellica Bell and JoJo Siwa, who were shocked to learn how recent she and Dan had broken up.
She told them: “It was a week ago.”
As she started to sob, presenter Angellica, 49, said: “I knew something wasn’t right.”
Ella replied: “I just feel like an idiot because I knew he wasn’t going be what I wanted him to be.
“I don’t want to waste years trying to change someone. It doesn’t mean we can’t be friends, because we can.”
Ella exclusively confirmed she and Dan had split when speaking to The Sun before entering the CBB house.
She said: “We are not together. And it’s really, really sad that we’re not together. We split up a week ago.
“It has nothing to do with Big Brother. It was a decision that I had to make because I didn’t feel that we were getting things that we wanted out of each other.”
