The Met Gala is stressful no matter what: You have to adhere to a theme, you have to fit into an outfit, you have to be able to walk in the outfit, and you have to remember how your outfit goes with the theme and be able to say as much on camera for all of 14 seconds. Now imagine that on top of all of that, your ex is standing about 20 feet away from you. While star-studded events like awards shows and the Met Gala are always juggling a history of celebrity relationships, there are a surprising number of exes walking the blue carpet tonight. Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan are both there in outfits that look like they’d fit on a Broadway stage. Ciara is there with her beau, Russell Wilson, as Future walks the carpet not far behind them.
There are also some celebrity vectors: Rosalía is in attendance, as are her former brief flings Hunter Schafer and Jeremy Allen White. While Miley Cyrus is showing off her abs in a two-piece black outfit, her exes Patrick Schwarzenegger and Nick Jonas are out there. Kendall Jenner also briefly dated Nick Jonas, as well as Bad Bunny and A$AP Rocky, who just announced his third child with Rihanna. Hailey Bieber is in attendance — will her husband Justin show? If so, it might be a little uncomfortable for him to see ex Sofia Richie. If celebrities are committed to dating other celebrities, then they’re gonna wind up in sticky situations at family dinners like the Met Gala. Haven’t any of them listened to Reputation? A lot goes down there. Well, it’s a good thing nothing is going on with The White Lotus co-stars Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood … That might get awkward.
