Shipping ministry signs agreement with Rhenus logistics to boost cargo movement

The Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) has partnered with Rhenus Group to strengthen India's inland waterways sector. Rhenus Logistics India will initiate scheduled barge operations across key National Waterways, deploying 20 barges and 6 pushers initially, with plans to move over one million tonnes of cargo annually by 2025.
