Biden tells The View that he 'takes responsibility' for Trump's election
Former President Joe Biden spoke to "The View" on Thursday, where he went on the attack against current President Donald Trump.
At the top of the show, Biden trashed Trump as a "dictator" and estimated that the reason Trump hates him so much is because "I beat him" in 2020.
When asked about the 2024 election and some of the top issues during the election, Alyssa Farah Griffin asked if he takes responsibility for the loss of Vice President Kamala Harris, and he said he did.
"Now, you are understandably very proud of many achievements in your administration. But do you take any responsibility for not hearing the concerns of voters on the border security or cost of living sooner, and do you take any responsibility for Trump's re-election?" she asked.

"Yes, I do, because, look, I was in charge and he won. So, you know, I take responsibility, number one. But, number two, you know, you remember we put together a commission led by one of the most conservative members of the United States Senate from Oklahoma, running it. We came up with a significant means by which we could deal with the border. What did Trump do? He got on the telephone and he called Republicans — do not support it. It's legal. It'll work. It'll make Biden look good. Don't do it. And they backed off. They backed up."
"Secondly, look, what we didn't have a chance to do and I — I've been advised not to say it, but I'll say it anyway," Biden continued. "No one thought I could get past an over-trillion-dollar — over a trillion-dollar plan to rebuild the country. Well, we made a lot of commitments and we — you know, billion-dollar tunnels going through for Amtrak, bridges, so on. But we weren't quite as good as he was about advertising it. It doesn't say Biden brought you this. There's nothing saying the Democrats brought you this, and we knew some of this would occur for another six months to two years. It takes time to do all that."
Biden went on to say he thought Trump would simply take credit for the transportation projects rather than fight back against the funding for the projects.
