Walton Goggins Had This To Say About All The Chat Over His Hairline

Walton Goggins kicked off his hosting stint at Saturday Night Live with a nod to the conversations he’s been at the centre of since The White Lotus season three premiered earlier this year.

During Saturday night’s live broadcast, Walton began with a monologue in which he remarked: “My character in White Lotus is pretty brooding, which the internet seemed to find attractive.

“Some of my friends have even asked me, ‘Walton, what’s it like to become a sex symbol at 53 years?’. And you know what, if I’m being honest, it feels fantastic.”

“At least,” he quipped, “it did until I Googled myself and read some of the headlines.”

Cutting to one from Cosmopolitan which read, “are we all horny for Walton Goggins’ receding hairline?”, the Emmy nominee responded: “I’ve had the same hairline since I was seven. It’s not receding, it’s holding its ground.”

Walton’s SNL hosting stint raised eyebrows when it was first announced, as just weeks earlier, his White Lotus co-star Aimee Lou Wood famously called out the show over a sketch making fun of her teeth.

Prior to that, Walton and Aimee were at the centre of speculation that the two may have fallen out with one another, after it was noticed they no longer followed each other on Instagram.

Since then, the pair are believed to be following each other on the platform once again, with Walton telling The Standard last week that the former Sex Education star is an “incredible actor” and “such an incredible storyteller”.

A week earlier, an interview was published with Walton in The Times, which was shut down prematurely after the outlet’s reporter repeatedly asked questions about Aimee.
