Jelly Roll, 40, Will Be Playing 2 Shows in London
Country music sensation Jelly Roll has made a huge announcement.
"London, England! London, England! Listen, y'all. Biggest announcement of my career," Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, said in a video posted to Instagram on May 14.
"They let me come to England, baby! That's happening. That's real, dude. I am playing Tottenham Stadium with Post Malone. The first night's already sold out. I'll be there. The second night is on sale."
"I can't believe I'm even coming to England, but the fact that my first time is doing two stadium shows with Post Malone. Please come out to see us, y'all," Jelly Roll added.
Fans took to the comments section of the post to react.
"You’re Unstoppable bubba! ENGLANNNNND!! How cool," one person wrote.
"God bless you brother! I love seeing The Lord continue to work through you," someone else added.
"Our man’s is shaping up, looking healthy, glowing, man it’s a beautiful thing to see," a third comment read.
The upcoming shows will mark the first time that Jelly Roll has ever performed in the UK. The reason is that the "Liar" singer has been unable to travel internationally due to his criminal record from things he did when he was younger.
In April, he got one step closer to receiving a full pardon in the state of Tennessee, which would allow him to travel overseas.
"I want to be an inspiration for people who are now where I used to be — to let them know that change is truly possible. One of the reasons I’m asking for your recommendation … is because I’m looking to take my message of redemption … [across] the rest of the world," he told the board, according to the Associated Press.
Post Malone has a number of upcoming shows overseas, but it's unknown if Jelly Roll will be approved to travel to some of these other countries.
