'Disney' Star Jenna Ortega Denies Rumors She's Dating Johnny Depp
A 22-year-old Disney star is responding to claims she was dating Johnny Depp, who is many years her senior.
Asked the worst rumor about herself on the Complex podcast, Jenny Ortega responded, "Well, I've already said the Johnny Depp thing. Where we were in a relationship, allegedly. Never met him."
The host, The Weeknd, looked surprised. "What? Never saw that," he said in the video clip shared to TikTok on May 14, 2025. The "GOAT Talk" was tied to the promotion of their new movie, Hurry Up Home.
"It went on for such a.. so much that people were asking me on set," Ortega continued.
She said people started asking, "Oh, how's it going with you and- " She said she responded, "What the f*** are you talking about?"
Initially known for her roles in multiple Disney productions, including Stuck in the Middle, Ortega has gone on to star in a series of Hollywood movies and shows as an adult, including Scream movies and Beetlejuice.

Fans responded to the rumor on the comment thread for Complex's video. "Johnny Depp is old enough to be both their dad," wrote one person of the 61-year-old actor.
She was previously asked by Buzzfeed about the craziest rumor about her, and she also brought up the claim that she's dated Depp.
"That I was in a serious relationship with Johnny Depp, and I wanted everybody to leave us alone. I don't know that person," she said eight months before the Complex comments in an interview with Buzzfeed.
"It's so insane to me. Like, I never spoke on that. I never said anything like that. Articles really do just make up their own quotes. But I thought that was hilarious. People are all insane."
Tim Burton is the link between them, according to Entertainment Tonight because both Depp and Ortega have starred in movies directed by Burton.
