Blake Lively's Legal Team Slams the Newest Taylor Swift Allegation in Letter to Judge

Blake Lively‘s lawyers have filed a letter with the court to Judge Lewis J. Liman in the It Ends with Us case, and it’s all stemming from what has gone down with Taylor Swift.

If you don’t know, last week, it was revealed that Taylor was subpoenaed in the case by Justin Baldoni‘s legal team.

This week, Justin‘s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, submitted a letter to the court claiming that Blake‘s lawyer “contacted a Venable attorney who represents Ms. Swift and demanded that Ms. Swift release a statement of support for Ms. Lively, intimating that, if Ms. Swift refused to do so, private text messages of a personal nature in Ms. Lively’s possession would be released.”

A big question is…how did Justin‘s team know that this allegedly went down between Taylor‘s lawyer and Blake‘s lawyer?

Justin‘s team is citing a “source who is highly likely to have reliable information.” They obviously have not named their source.

Now, in a new update, Blake‘s legal team has written a letter to the judge about this whole issue.

In a note from Wednesday evening (May 14), lawyer Esra Hudson, who is on the legal team representing Blake, wrote (via Variety): “On behalf of our client, Blake Lively, we respectfully move to strike the letter signed by Mr. Bryan Freedman and filed earlier today. That letter, which was not filed with any evidentiary support of any kind, much less anything under oath, falsely accuses Ms. Lively, and her counsel, of engaging in ‘witness tampering and evidence spoliation’ based on an undisclosed anonymous source.”

The letter added, “It should be unnecessary to respond to anonymously sourced, baseless, allegations recklessly leveled without any supporting evidence. It is worth stating for the record, however, that each of the allegations in the Freedman Letter is unequivocally and demonstrably false. As a legal matter, the Freedman Letter is improper. It does not seek any form of relief, is irrelevant to any motion currently pending before the Court, and serves no legitimate purpose. It is not useful to the Court in any respect.”

In alleged text messages that were included in the lawsuits, Justin implied that Blake had her husband Ryan Reynolds and BFF Taylor present at a meeting to voice support for her changes to the script.
