Watervliet restaurant abruptly closes its doors
The Trestle Restaurant & Pub, located at 2 Cohoes Road in Watervliet, has abruptly closed. The restaurant made the announcement on its Facebook page on Tuesday night.
Brewery opening in ex-Yonder Farms space in Colonie
A new brewery is opening up in Colonie. Jonathan and April Golon are set to open Broken Loop Brewing Co. in the former Yonder Farms space at 4301 Albany Street.
CoreLife Eatery ordered to pay over $7M in pandemic funds lawsuit
CoreLife Eatery, LLC has been ordered to pay over $7.8 million after the company misrepresented its eligibility for pandemic relief funds, the United States Department of Justice Northern District of New York said on Monday. The health-conscious restaurant chain has locations in Latham, Colonie and Clifton Park.
Tavern opens in ex-Finnigan’s space on Ballston Lake
Ballston Lakeview Tavern is now open in the former Finnigan’s on the Lake space at 175 Lake Road in Ballston Lake. The tavern is owned by Jen Musella, Dave Nigriny and Eric Warde.
Downtown Saratoga Springs pizza shop closes its doors
D’Andrea’s Pizza, located at 33 Caroline Street in Saratoga Springs, closed its doors for good on May 7. Owner Rory Wilson made the announcement in a Facebook video on May 6.
Robb’s Topp Doggs to open location in Via Port Rotterdam
Robb’s Topp Doggs, an NYC style hot dog cart, is setting up shop in Via Port Rotterdam in the coming weeks. The owners, Robb and Danielle Nedell, announced their incoming residence to the mall on Tuesday.
Clarksville deli reopens after kitchen fire
Sons Deli, located at 2082 Delaware Turnpike in Clarksville, has reopened for business after being closed since the beginning of February due to a kitchen fire. The deli reopened on Monday, May 12 at 11 a.m.
New executive chef J.R. Gordon joins Copper Crow in Albany
The Copper Crow is welcoming a new executive chef to the kitchen. With accolades like being a prior contestant and runner-up of “CHOPPED” during season 17, and being the private chef for Doris Hurley, daughter of the Häagen-Dazs founders, Seth “J.R.” Gordon is joining the team.
New sub shop opens in Schodack
A-Mayes-Ing Subs Burgers & More is now open at 1607 Columbia Turnpike in Schodack. The women-owned business’ name is a play on the owner’s name, Amey Mayes.
Cardona’s Market celebrates 80 years in business
A three-generation, family-owned Italian market is celebrating 80 years in business. To mark the milestone, Cardona’s Market is holding Eight Days of Giving at each of its three locations.
