Slow growth to continue in EU, say European economic institutes
Economic growth across the EU is expected to remain weak through next year, according to the latest forecast by the Association of European Economic Research Institutes (AIECE), released following its spring meeting in Oslo.
The group of institutes, which includes Finland’s ETLA, projects EU gross domestic product will grow by an average of 1.2 percent in 2025 and 1.5 percent in 2026. For the euro area, the expected growth is 1.0 percent this year and 1.3 percent next year.
