All the Famous Swifties Are Celebrating
After Taylor Swift announced on May 30 that she owns her music, dozens of famous people reacted by owning their Swiftie status … or at least by showing her some support in the form of a “like” on Instagram. (Even Scooter Braun, who previously bought and sold Swift’s catalog despite her public disapproval, claimed that he was “happy for her” in a statement to Us Weekly.) The news means that, for the reported price of close to $360 million, all of her albums are now Taylor’s Version. Some celebrities marked the occasion by streaming her old music — Phoebe Bridgers shared “Fearless” on her Instagram Story, while Jack Antonoff posted a video of him “ayy”-ing and “ahh”-ing to “Getaway Car” with Swift and her cat Meredith in a “guilt free” listening session. Self-identified “KING SWIFTIE” Flavor Flav tweeted out a wish for the singer to “have peace and happiness and continue to gain more of that.” Below, other celebs who reacted to today’s news, including Selena Gomez, Travis Kelce, Kesha, and more. If Swift throws one of her Fourth of July parties this year, we’re betting some of these people will get an invite.
