DDG Files Counter Motion to Stop Halle Bailey From Going to Italy With Son Halo, Claims She's a Risk

DDG is attempting to block ex Halle Bailey from traveling with their son Halo.

The 27-year-old rapper filed his own motion against her to stop her from going to Italy to film a movie, where she was previously granted permission to do so from a judge.

In his filing, he cites that she poses “imminent emotional and psychological risk” to their one-year-old.

According to Billboard, DDG made his own claims against Halle saying she is abusive and has threatened self-harm for emotional manipulation.

This follows Halle getting a restraining order against DDG last month, with a judge granting her temporary sole physical and legal custody of their son Halo.

DDG‘s new allegations claims Halle has repeatedly punched and slapped him, stalked him by hiding Airtags in his cars and more.

“In or about August 2023, during a particularly volatile argument, petitioner became enraged and threatened to end her life using my legally owned firearm. Without my consent, she took the weapon and left the house,” he wrote in a declaration with his filing. “This incident was one of several in which petitioner’s actions posed a serious threat to her own safety and the safety of our son by creating an environment of emotional distress and danger within the home.”

He also included text messages that read, “IM GOONG TO KILL MYSWLF TONIGHT” [sic] and “I am simply not tough enough for this world. Please take halo so he doesn’t have to see.”

DDG is asking that Halle is unable to take Halo with her to Italy, where she is set to leave on Saturday (June 7), to go film a new movie, “Italianna,” with Rege-Jean Page.

“A parent who has threatened suicide repeatedly — who has armed herself with a firearm while in emotional crisis, who has driven with the child in a potentially suicidal state, and who continues to escalate when emotionally dysregulated — cannot be entrusted to care for a vulnerable infant abroad, without the safety net of California court supervision, welfare checks, mental health intervention or child protective services,” the rapper’s attorney wrote in the court papers.

In a hearing that took place on Wednesday (June 4), Halle‘s attorney Terry Levich Ross said DDG‘s counterclaims are “not accurate.”

During that hearing, the judge said she will issue a decision soon on if Halle will be allowed to take Halo with her to Italy.

Another hearing is set for June 24th.
