Crowley man killed in Thursday truck crash in Acadia Parish
CROWLEY, La. (KLFY) -- A Crowley man was killed in a collision with a truck on La. 13 in Acadia Parish, authorities said.
The crash claimed the life of Roderick Boullion, 60, of Crowley.
Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop I began investigating a two-vehicle fatality crash shortly after noon Thursday on La. 13 near its intersection with Airport Road.
Investigators said a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by Boullion was traveling north on La. 13. At the same time, a 2019 Kenworth commercial motor vehicle was traveling south. For reasons still under investigation, the Mercury crossed the center line and into the path of the truck. As a result, the Kenworth struck the Mercury head-on.
Boullion died at the scene, officials said. The driver of the Kenworth was uninjured.
A routine toxicology sample was obtained from Boullion and submitted for analysis. The driver of the Kenworth was not suspected of being impaired and voluntarily provided a breath sample which detected no alcohol.
This crash remains under investigation.
